La obra del puente Amado Nervo sobre el río Ameca que conectaría Bahía de Banderas en el estado de Nayarit con Puerto Vallarta en el estado de Jalisco, fue suspendida debido a que se canceló el fallo, de acuerdo con información que fuentes oficiales del Gobierno de Bahía de Banderas compartieron a #Reporterosmx.
El titular de la Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes del gobierno federal, Jesús Esteva Medina, había anunciado que el 30 de junio iniciaría a ejecutarse la obra.
El puente tendría una longitud de 1.8 kilómetros y una inversión de 900 millones de pesos por parte de la federación.
